Classroom Scheduling

Our Classroom Scheduling service area assigns academic spaces/facilities to classes, final exams, and extracurricular activities on campus. The 25Live application is used to schedule these academic spaces. Department administrators may request classroom assignment changes, as needed. These requests must be received by the fourteenth calendar day of the term. Once changes are approved, they will immediately be reflected in the PeopleSoft Class Search and the PeopleSoft Student Schedule. There are two different ways that students, faculty, and staff can view academic space assignments in 25Live. The first is by clicking on the 25Live link in the Classroom Scheduling portion of this page. The second way is by logging into my.pitt.edu portal, clicking on Academic Space Reservation System - 25Live (under My Resources), and then clicking on 25Live (top right of page).

Student groups in need of classroom space for their meetings or events should make those reservations through the Student Affairs EMS website.

If you are in need of a large lecture hall for a guest speaker, performance, or other event that cannot be accommodated via EMS, you may make a request to the Classroom Scheduling office using the Special Classroom Permit.

If you would like to use the Bellefield Auditorium, please contact the Music Department (412-624-4125) first to discuss their fees and additional requirements for reservation.

If you would like to use the Connolly Ballroom or 7th Floor Auditorium in Alumni Hall, please contact the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (412-624-7488).

Our Classroom Scheduling service area operates according to established University policies and procedures. These policies and procedures contain a lot of the information retaining to academic space assignment and usage.

The Office of the University Registrar has partnered with CollegeNet to upgrade to an academic space reservation system that allows users to more easily view academic events across campus. This system is named 25Live. 25Live features enhanced filtering options that make searching for academic events (i.e. classes) and academic spaces a breeze. Click on the link entitled “25Live” in the Classroom Scheduling portion of this page to view academic events. Departmental contacts that have been granted access to request academic space should also use this link to make these requests. Simply click on the 25Live link and then use your my.pitt.edu username and password to sign in.
