Transcripts
Your transcript is the complete record of your time at the University of Pittsburgh. The transcript is printed on security paper and bears the seal and signature of the University Registrar. To request an Official Transcript, download and print the Transcript Request Form. Mail the form to the address on the top of the request form.
- Please be sure to sign your completed request form.
- Mail your request to the address on the top of the request form.
- There is no fee for transcripts requested by students or alumni. If you ever attended the University of Pittsburgh as a student, there is no fee for a transcript.
- Transcripts cannot be faxed or sent by e-mail.
- Transcripts can be requested in person at the counter in G-3 Thackeray Hall. Be sure to bring a photo ID.
- Unofficial transcripts are issued to currently enrolled students in-person with a valid Pitt ID card.
- If you have an outstanding financial obligation to the University, your transcript will be withheld until your account is paid in full.
- UPS overnight delivery - $20.00 within the continental U.S. only. Make check or money order payable to University of Pittsburgh and mail along with your request. All express deliveries outside the continental U.S. must supply a pre-paid envelope. The $20 fee is subject to change. UPS will only deliver to a street address, no P.O. Boxes will be accepted. If express fees are not paid within ten working days, there will be an additional $10.00 service fee assessed.
- Transcript requests will not be accepted through e-mail. Our e-mail address is used for questions only.
- There is a $3.00 fee to companies and other third parties requesting transcripts on the students behalf.
